Comedian Simon Evans will host this year’s Plastics Industry Awards taking place at The Waldorf Hilton, London, on Thursday, December 2.

Tickets for the black-tie gala evening have now sold out but don’t despair. You can still register to watch the live stream of the awards ceremony on the night, free of charge.

A regular on TV and radio, Simon is one of the UK’s most respected and established comedians. His TV credits include BBC One’s Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, BBC Two’s Mock the Week, and he was a regular on Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week. He has also recently appeared on This Week and Question Time. Simon’s BBC Radio 4 series Simon Evans Goes to Market has audiences delighting in his witty and insightful take on the unpromising comic territory of commodities, trading and wealth.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2021, the Plastics Industry Awards recognise the many diverse ways in which plastics product design, manufacture and recycling contribute to successful and sustainable innovation in everything from medical devices and electronics to packaging and lightweight automotive components.

Having skipped a year in 2020 due to the pandemic, a record number of entries were received this year, and over 100 companies and individuals have been shortlisted. They include product designers, OEM manufacturers, suppliers, plastics processors, consultants, apprentices and trainees from across the plastics sector in the UK and Ireland.
