[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ALBIS PLASTIC GmbH will present its portfolio of technical lighting high performance plastics, compounds and master batches at the world’s leading trade fair for light and building technology, Light + Building 2018, in Frankfurt am Main. Its trade fair booth will be in Hall 4.0 (B91) of Messe Frankfurt from March 18 to 23.

The company will showcase a range of new compound solutions and master batches from its comprehensive ALCOM® Lighting and ALPERFORM®
Lighting portfolios. They will strengthen this with a range of products from world class suppliers, including materials particularly suited to LED applications such as Makrolon by Covestro, DiakonPMMA by Lucite and newly developed Ultramid Vision by BASF.

Joachim Bernhard, Marketing Director Electro & Electronics at ALBIS PLASTIC, says: “At ALBIS we can draw from our vast product portfolio and can offer customised solutions. We are really looking forward to showcasing our new solutions.”

This will include products from the ALCOM® LDX HTC line. These light-diffusing compounds based on thermoplastic copolyester have an outstanding degree of light transmission and diffusion as well as excellent chemical and impact resistance. They are ideal for diffuse LED light covers in challenging environmental conditions such as animal sheds, commercial kitchens or industrial facilities. Grades for extrusion and injection moulding applications are available.

ALPERFORM® LD and the LDX-Batch are flexible and cost effective solutions for manufacture of light diffusing polycarbonate and PMMA luminaires. They permit quick and simple refinement of optical properties by direct dosing. They allow optimisation of transmission and light diffusion, to increase light efficiency and to prevent annoying hot-spots.

The ALPERFORM® LB-Batch is brand-new. This master batch solution also enables flexible dosing. It provides high cost efficiency in the self-colouring of ABS and PC in highly reflective and lightproof components. These would include lamp housings and extrusion profiles for linear LED applications.

ALCOM® TCD PA6 5060 FR 16089 and ALCOM® TCD PA6 5070 FR 15021 WT are thermally conductive and electrically insulating polyamide 6 based compounds used for efficient heat management. They significantly improve the service life and efficiency of LED applications. Additionally, they possess fire retardant performance in line with UL 94 V0.

Two silver-gray metallic colours have also been developed, based on the thermally conductive ALCOM® TCD PA6 5060, which would be suitable for potentially “cool-touch” decorative elements or housing components, for example.

“With the help of selected exhibits, we will happily demonstrate the performance of our products at our stand. We are looking forward to welcoming interested visitors, customers and business partners there”, says Bernhard.
