ARBURG UK Hosts Anniversary Open House Event
ARBURG Limited is delighted to welcome UK and Irish customers and contacts to its celebratory centenary open house event on 17th May in Warwick. The event continues from the successful ‘Anniversary Days’ exhibition, recently held at the company’s headquarters in Germany.
2023 marks a special anniversary for ARBURG as the company commemorates 100 years of the Hehl family business. To celebrate, ARBURG is hosting a series of anniversary events, providing industry peers with an opportunity to celebrate, socialise, learn and explore industry hot topics.
ARBURG Ltd is delighted to extend an invitation to all within the plastics injection moulding sector to visit the company’s Warwick Headquarters on Wednesday 17th May, for a day of celebrations, insights and networking.
Premiering at the event for the first time in the UK is Arburg’s new Hybrid Anniversary Allrounder, 470 H 1000 – 400, a 100-tonne ‘Comfort’ model on display and in action, complete with the latest energy-saving features and GESTICA control technology.
Guests will be welcomed for registration from 08:30, with exhibits before industry-leading presentations and demonstrations on saving money, digitalisation, sustainability, energy efficiency, and the circular economy commence. A complimentary ‘German-Themed’ lunch will be served, with opportunities to network and socialise throughout the day, which will conclude around 16:00.
For those travelling from further afield, a limited number of discounted rooms at the impressive local Welcombe Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon has been arranged. ARBURG will also be hosting a dinner at the Welcombe Hotel on the evening of Tuesday 16th May, for those guests who are staying overnight. This will afford an excellent opportunity for networking.

Expert Presentations Tailored to the UK Market
Central to the open house event is a series of expert presentations and discussions on the hot topics impacting manufacturers today. Delivered by ARBURG and selected industry partners, the day’s presentations will focus on saving money, sustainability, energy efficiency, digitalisation, and maximising your OEEs.
Dr Robin Kent of Tangram Technology is the day’s keynote speaker, and ARBURG will be giving away signed copies of his book “Sustainability Management in Plastics Processing,” recently published in collaboration with the BPF. Robin’s presentation “Sustainability – It’s not what you think it is” will surely be a highlight from one of the world’s leading experts in sustainability in manufacturing.
The agenda of speakers includes Lukas Krüger, Arburg’s Applications Energy Consulting expert, Reiner Heendeniya, Sales Director of Günther Hot Runner Technology, Chris Burton of GEKU Automation and Giorgio Santella, Managing Director CMG Granulators on behalf of Piovan UK on the circular economy.

ARBURG Anniversary Machine Premieres in the UK
ARBURG’s new 470 H Hybrid Anniversary Allrounder, complete with all energy-saving features, will be on display for the first time in the UK, viewable alongside ARBURG’s new MULTILIFT 8kg robot system and turnkey automation cell.
The anniversary machine delivers impressive performance across the board; it saves energy, conserves resources, and is production-efficient, user-friendly and reliable. The perfect combination of an electric clamping unit and a hydraulic injection unit significantly reduces acquisition and operating costs as well as the carbon footprint. Compared to a hydraulic machine, the new 470 H has an improved energy footprint of up to 50% and can save up to 12,000 kg of CO2 annually.
With “Comfort”, “Premium” and “Ultimate” performance variants, various injection units and a wide range of options, the new Allrounder 470 H machines can not only be precisely adapted to specific customer requirements – they also mark the start of a new generation of machines from ARBURG.
Its technical features include a new oil management concept, flow rate splitting for simultaneous movements of hydraulic secondary axes and the extended use of the ARBURG servo-hydraulic system – all aimed at conserving resources and energy.
A new 100-tonne Hybrid Anniversary Allrounder 470H Comfort Edition will be on display at ARBURG’s Warwick showroom throughout the event, enabling UK moulders to see the new machine in action for the first time.
