On 6th October, a member of Refcool Refrigeration’s team Simon Jackson, along with his family, will be doing a memory walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Simon sadly lost his grandmother this year, who suffered from dementia.
A message from Simon:
“Myself and my family are doing the memory walk as ‘Ann’s Army’ in memory of my wonderful Nan who can never be replaced but can always be remembered. We have all set up a JustGiving page and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
“Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer’s Society, so it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
