Our next stop was at Leicestershire based Agentdraw. Our M.D. Carl Futcher met Head of Sales, Sean Downey, for a very insightful tour of this innovative manufacturing company.
Agentdraw Ltd is a 30 year established, family-owned company, that specialises in the production of injection moulded components and toolmaking.
As one of the most progressive company’s in the UK plastics sector, they have worked with many of the worlds leading brands, including Dyson, JLR, GSK and Apple. They have consistently enjoyed steady growth, despite market movements over the years.
Sean Downey (pictured, left) comments: “This is down to our philosophy of never compromising on quality and always delivering exactly what the customer wants, 100%. Our staff all share this same ethos. From our facilities in Leicestershire, we provide our customers with exceptional levels of service in product design toolmaking and production.”
Agentdraw is fortunate to operate in many industry sectors including Medical, Automotive, Construction, FMCG, Aerospace and Electrical Enclosures. They continue to maintain these markets at a relatively equal pace which provides them with stability should any industry see a downturn.
Part of our visit included a view of their award-winning design studio, modern injection moulding facilities and toolroom producing high-level moulds for sectors including medical, multi-material and micro moulding. Agentdraw supplies both high and low volume production.
Sean continued “As a plastic injection moulder, Agentdraw have always prided themselves on staying at the forefront of the industry. We have a reputation for taking on and delivering projects our competitors simply walk away from. I would go as far as to say that the greater the challenge, the greater the smile of our MD!
“We have a fantastic team of both industrial and product designers with decades of experience between them. Agentdraw is not a simple contract moulder. We have the capability to look at product design and not just put it through a DFM (Design For Manufacture) process, but look at every aspect, from tooling and production efficiency to quality, aesthetics and cost. Nine times out of ten, we will go back to the customer with a way of producing a part improved, cheaper and guarantee the design before manufacturing has even started.
“Our aim is always to deliver the best products for our clients and provide the best customer experience. We ensure we mitigate or remove the risk in any project and reduce the time to market through our integrated services and committed and experienced team.”
The creative design team at Agentdraw also develop in house products and use their considerable design and engineering talent to bring new innovative products to the marketplace. In 2015 they won the plastics industry design award for the non-spill Magicup product with its revolutionary automatic closing mechanism, and they are about to launch yet another groundbreaking product this year in a new market sector.
Agentdraw offers a comprehensive, secure and proven route to designing, developing and mass manufacturing products. It’s hard to see why you would take the risk of developing a product any other way.
