When it comes to temperature controllers, plastics processors have a very large and varied field to chose from. In comparative testing Wittmann’s latest models are proving their paces.
Fischer Elektronik GmbH in Lüdenscheid, Germany recently compared products from four manufacturers of temperature controllers with each other. In the comparative testing of the temperature controllers, special attention was paid to certain parameters. One of these was the accuracy of temperature control in high-temperature applications up to 160 °C. Another was the monitoring of extremely narrow tolerance margins in flow measurement. The latest generation of WITTMANN TEMPRO plus D temperature controllers won through on all counts.
One UK customer which can vouch for the same is George Utz, based in Somercotes, Derbyshire and manufacturer of multi-use plastic containers for a wide variety of industries. Last year George Utz invested £3.5m in its Alfreton factory extension as part of plans to employ 40 more staff over the next five years. The company’s Tempro Plus D temperature controllers have been part of its expansion activities last year.
