Webinars for the Plastics Industry

We’ve all had to adapt the way we operate over recent months, and one major dilemma is how to promote your products and services in an industry that has traditionally relied on exhibitions, trade fairs, and open-house events, with current restrictions in place. Enter the webinar.

What is a Webinar?

Webinar is the amalgamation of ‘web’ and ‘seminar.’ According to leading webinar platform ON24: “A webinar is an engaging online event where a speaker, or a small group of speakers, deliver a presentation to a large audience. The viewers can participate by submitting questions, responding to polls, and using other available interactive tools.”

Webinars allow you to deliver a presentation to a worldwide audience, engaging multiple prospects at once, with trackable statistics and data capture, enabling your sales team to follow up with registrants and attendees. Hosting a technical and educational webinar also positions you and your company as a highly credible voice in your field, building trust and front-of-mind awareness with your prospects, on top of immediate lead generation benefits.

Did you know you could even run a webinar in your showroom demonstrating a new injection moulding machine technology in production? You can present technical papers and case studies then finish off with a Q&A session? You’ll probably have a much bigger audience, and you don’t even have to supply lunch!

PlastikMedia offers a full webinar management package. This includes a comprehensive marketing campaign via email and social media to drive registrations, full setup and support during the event, and statistics and data enabling sales follow up after the event.  You provide the speaker and presentation, and we’ll handle the rest!

1. Prepare & Invite

Once the topic and presenter are decided, we’ll create a webinar room themed with your company branding, using appropriate colours, logos, and imagery. We will also design and deliver custom webinar invitation emails to our audience of over 22,000+ UK & IE subscribers, including all the major players in the plastics industry.

We will also provide full training for the presenter and any other staff involved, which can be done remotely, or from PlastikMedia HQ in Leicestershire.

2. Run & Interact

PlastikMedia will handle all of the technical requirements. Your presenter(s) can perform from their location (the UK or abroad) or the PlastikMedia offices. We will manage the introductions, the audience, webinar chat, any surveys and the Q&A session at the end of the webinar. This leaves you to concentrate on delivering an engaging presentation.

Audience interaction is a vital part of a great webinar, and enables viewers to connect and engage on a higher level than with pre-recorded footage. Incorporating surveys, live Q&A and encouraging the audience to download pre-loaded brochures and documents keeps the viewers engaged. All this interaction is handled by PlastikMedia on the day.

You provide the speakers and presentation, and we handle the rest!

3. Analyse, Share & Follow up

Following the webinar, you will receive an ‘event statistics’ document, containing the contact details of the events registrants.  A recording of the presentation will be uploaded to the PlastikMedia YouTube channel and made available for you to share. We strongly encourage contacting all the registrants after the event, providing them with a link to the recording which they can share with their colleagues.

This recording should also be saved and kept for future uses, added to your website, or converted into other content such as blogs, or Q&A articles. If managed correctly, you will gain traction from the event for months to come.
